GenCodex™
(personal DNA identity print)
What is GenCodex?
Unlike a name that may be shared, a social security number
that can be stolen, or photographs that change over time,
your child’s personal DNA identity remains constant
from the moment of conception to the end of life. Your child’s
GenCodex (personal DNA identity print) demonstrates your
child’s genetic similarity to family members as well
as the genetic uniqueness that distinguishes your child from
the rest of the world.
Your child’s GenCodex is accessible to no one but
you. However, should you or your family need help from a law
enforcement agency – such as in search for a missing
child due to an abduction, accident, or a natural disaster
– your child’s GenCodex is fully compatible
with the nationally recognized DNA identity standards created
by the FBI’s Combined DNA Index System. With your child’s
GenCodex readily available, precious time is saved that
allows the law enforcement to quickly compare your child’s
DNA identity to any DNA evidence uncovered while searching
for your child.
How Can You Obtain GenCodex?
You may purchase a GenCodex Kit. The materials inside the
Kit allow you, the parent, to collect a DNA sample from your
child in the privacy of your home. If you prefer, your child’s
sample may also be collected at one of Genetica’s sample
collection facilities located throughout the United States.
The GenCodex Kit provides shipping materials you need to
mail your child’s collected DNA sample to Genetica.
Upon the receipt of your child’s DNA sample, your GenCodex
order form along with payment, Genetica performs DNA analyses
and mails the GenCodex certificate to you within days.
The GenCodex Kit also contains fingerprinting supplies and
a booklet allowing you to store your child’s fingerprints,
vital information, and a recent photograph. You are encouraged
to store these items along with your child’s GenCodex
certificate.
