| The GENETICA
DNA Test for Family Reconstruction
In cases where the alleged father is
deceased or missing, a DNA reconstruction test may be performed.
Such DNA testing is possible because the genes of the deceased
or missing alleged father are present in his known biological
family members (i.e., his parents, his siblings, his known
children). The GENETICA DNA Test for Family Reconstruction
is the most extensive and accurate DNA test available.
The fee for testing depends on the number of
family members available and required for testing. Contact
us for a case specific quotation. A partial payment of $200
is required to initiate the scheduling process.
Samples are easily obtained from the inside
of the mouth with a cotton swab, or with as little as a teaspoon
of blood. We will make an appointment for everyone being tested
in the area near you. A specimen collection fee, typically
$15 to $45 per person, is charged by the local collection
facility. This is in addition to the DNA testing fee.
How certain are the results when
the reconstructed man is NOT the true father?
The GENETICA DNA Test for Family Reconstruction can
prove conclusively that the reconstructed man is NOT the
true father of the child. Such a DNA reconstruction test,
however, requires that a sufficient number of family members
with known relationship to the deceased are available for
testing. Contact our laboratory for a case specific consultation.
How certain are the results when
the reconstructed man IS the true father?
The GENETICA DNA Test for Family Reconstruction can
provide greater than 99.9% probability of paternity. Such
probability of paternity can be reached only if a sufficient
number of family members with known relationship to the
deceased are available for testing. Contact our laboratory
for a case specific consultation.
