Legal DNA Paternity Testing - The GENETICA DNA Test™

The GENETICA DNA Test™ for paternity is the most extensive, conclusive and reliable legal DNA paternity test available, with guaranteed results. It is delivered with strict confidentiality, expert 24 or 48 hours service, and comprehensive, professional aftercare. Our legal DNA paternity test results are admissible by courts and government agencies as legal documents (for example, to receive child support, to receive social security benefits, to change the name on the birth certificate).
Who needs to be tested?
In a standard legal DNA paternity test, DNA samples are collected from the mother, the child, and the alleged father (called mother, child, alleged father legal DNA paternity test). The collection of the mother's sample is not absolutely necessary for legal DNA paternity testing; however, the mother's sample helps to identify in the child those genes that came from the mother and eliminate them from consideration in a DNA paternity test. The laboratory can perform a highly accurate legal DNA paternity test without the mother's sample by performing additional DNA analysis (called single parent-child DNA paternity test). Genetica DNA Laboratories does not charge extra fees to perform this more extensive testing.
How are specimens collected ?
Specimens are easily obtained from inside of the mouth with a cotton swab. Genetica DNA Laboratories has an extensive network of specimen collection sites nationwide and numerous affiliations with laboratories worldwide. We make the process of specimen collections convenient for everyone involved by handling all of the arrangements. Specimen collection facilities follow strict chain of custody documentation for client identification, specimen collection, and specimen shipment to ensure the legal DNA paternity test results are admissible by all courts and government agencies as legal documents (for example, to receive child support, to receive social security benefits, to change the name on the birth certificate). .
How certain are the results when the man is NOT the father?
The GENETICA DNA Test™ for paternity proves conclusively that the tested man is NOT the biological father of the child. In such cases, the tested man's genes do not match the child's genes on at least three different genetic sites. The probability of paternity is 0%, and we are 100% certain that he is NOT the child's biological father.
How certain are the results when the man IS the father?
The average probability of paternity for the GENETICA DNA Test™ is greater than 99.99999%. We guarantee greater than 99.99% probability of paternity.

You are also invited to take our Lab Tour.  Here, you will see the steps the specimens go through during DNA paternity testing. Your tour will take you from specimen collection through DNA paternity test results analysis, and you can also view sample legal DNA paternity test reports.
Specialty Testing Options
DNA paternity testing may be performed before the child is born. This is called prenatal DNA paternity testing. See   Prenatal DNA Paternity Test.

There are a wide variety of reasons to have DNA paternity test done. Adults sometimes want to find out, or confirm, who are their biological parents or children purely for the knowledge of their genetic heredity; and, they do not intend to use their DNA test results as legal evidence in the court of law. In such cases, the tested parties can perform self collection of their DNA samples. See  At Home (Self Specimen Collection)Test.

DNA paternity testing can also be performed when the alleged father is deceased, and his sample is not available for testing. In such cases, the alleged father's genetic make up can be reconstructed from his known family relatives. See DNA Family Reconstruction Test
