paternity test, DNA samples are
collected from the mother, the
child, and the alleged father

mother's sample is optional, and
DNA paternity tests can be done
where only a child and an
alleged father are tested
(called single-parent DNA

father are tested. Testing the
mother's sample in DNA paternity
test helps to identify in the
child those genes that came from
the mother, and eliminate them
from consideration in a
paternity test. Our laboratory
performs highly accurate DNA
paternity testing without the
mother's sample by conducting
additional DNA analyses in
single-parent DNA paternity
tests. Genetica DNA Laboratories
does not charge extra fees to
perform this more extensive
testing in single-parent DNA
paternity tests, and we
guarantee the probability of
paternity greater than 99.9% in
all single-parent DNA paternity
tests.
*In rare cases, genetic
mutations are identified during
DNA testing. In these cases, our
laboratory conducts specialized,
extended testing and additional
charges may apply for extended
testing when mutations are
identified so that the
guaranteed probability of
paternity may be reached.
